(Nsuk Update) ASUU Suspends 3 Months Old Strike.

This is to notify students that the strike embarked upon by ASUU, Nsuk Chapter has been suspended. Students are advised to resume immediately as lecture commences on Monday, 6th June, 2016. We wish you journey mercies...


NSUK STRIKE: ASUU Suspends 3 Months Old Strike.

The Academic Staff Union of University, ASUU, Nasarawa State University on Tuesday, 31st May, 2016 suspended its 3months old total and indefinite strike.

The governing council of Nasarawa State University, Keffi had a meeting with the Executive members of ASUU on monday 23rd May, 2016, where an an understanding between the two parties was met and an agreement was drafted.

This event followed the intervention of Governor Tanko Almakura in a bid to end the three month old ASUU strike in Nasarawa State University, keffi, where ASUU agreed to call off strike, but on the condition that government must first pay the 20 percent of the Earned Academic Allowance it agreed with the Union at the Governing Council meeting.

The ASUU chairman, Theophilus Lagi, said the union resolved to suspend the strike with immediate effect after a congress meeting held by the ASUU. Lectures commence immediately.
